Robbed a Schoolhouse.
San Francisco Chronicle, February 16, 1893
Thomas Curtin, a sixteen-year-old resident of Bernal Heights, was locked up at the Seventeenth-street police station last evening on a charge of burglary.
Last Saturday evening the Bernal Heights School, on Cortland Avenue, was entered and a box containing 95 cents was stolen from one of the teacher's desks. The money was the nucleus of a fund used to purchase text-books for indigent pupils.
Curtin is alleged to have committed the felony.
